This is such a beautiful photo of Haggis with his dirty nose from rooting in the ground (Wendy Zwierenberg of the Netherlands is his person). Border Terriers are "Earth Dogs" ... they've been bred to hunt ground animals. Borders are the most natural, unaltered terrier you'll find, and their hunting instincts are strong. "Underneath their unassuming exterior is the heart of a working terrier of a century ago."

Border Terriers have such wonderful coats and color. Anyone who pets our borders for the first time always comments on the course coat. Most love it. I love their color variations just as much. Beautiful!
